In the last 5-10 years the Toyota 2JZ has become one of the most potent engines in the world Sports Compact scene. The 2JZ has single handedly been behind many world records and the development and pursuit of faster times is still on going. Plazmaman have been working alongside race teams and engine builders to fine tune the 2JZ inlet design over the last decade. What we have introduced now into the world market is one of the most robust and technically correct designs available. We have spent a large amount of time concentrating on 2 things; the first being the port size vs taper, and the second being the manifold dome volume.
These manifolds were primarily designed for Toyota’s JZA80 Supra, however, we have supplied a number of these manifolds for 2JZ converted vehicles and fitment was not an issue. Contact us if you’d like application advice or further information.
At Plazmaman we are able to offer 2 different styles of billet runners “ the first one is to suit a Street based everyday driven vehicle with big boost and horsepower in a single injector style, and the second is a big port 12 Injector design is for heavily modified race engines, where maximum horsepower is of importance (See Inlet Manifolds section). In the tough world of racing we also realized the need to design the inlet in such a fashion where weight and strength are critical. Up to and over 200+ psi can safely be distributed and flowed by any Plazmaman billet 2JZ inlet manifold guaranteed.
Our billet manifolds are offered with, or without a provision for the factory IAC (idle air controller). A lot of race cars would not run the IAC, as most of these cars are run by independant stand alone ECUs.
Our 2JZ Inlet Manifold can be made to suit a number of our universal throttle bodies, which can be pre-selected prior to ordering, or you can select None if you have your own throttle body. This ensures the manifold is designed exactly how you require. Also included alongside the manifold is a CNC machined fuel rail, in either single feed, or dual feed. Both of these fuel rails style accept 14mm top feed injectors. The fuel rail comes with all mounting hardware, including stainless steel fasteners and CNC spacers/brackets.
These manifolds can be supplied in 3 finishes, Raw, Polished, or powercoated Black, for the stealth look.
As with all Plazmaman inlet manifolds, these are packed with many features such as:
