The Kelford range of cams for the Toyota 1JZ-GTE VVTi engine, are designed to run with the stock cam bucket with shim on top unless the description specifies otherwise. For engines that have shimless or shim-under-cam bucket valve-train conversions, we have an endless range of profile designs available so please contact us to discuss your requirements.

V229-A Camshaft Set:

  • 248/248 Degrees advertised duration. 8.70mm/8.70mm lift.
  • Great for street cars. Ultimate throttle response with VVT-i. Improved low to mid-range power and fast spool. Suits stock turbo or 54mm-58mm turbo upgrade. Can use OEM valve spring up to stock boost and rpm limit. For up to 7500rpm and 30psi boost Kelford Cams recommend valve spring KVS109-1JZ.

V229-B Camshaft Set:

  • 260/260 Degrees advertised duration. 9.35mm/9.35mm lift.
  • 260° street performance cams for 1JZ GTE VVTi Engines. Improved low to mid-range power and fast spool. Ultimate throttle response with VVT-i. Suits upgraded turbo 54-64mm. Can use OEM valve spring up to stock boost and rpm limit. For up to 7500rpm and 30psi boost Kelford Cams recommend valve spring KVS109-1JZ.

V229-C Camshaft Set:

  • 264/272 Degrees advertised duration. 9.65mm/9.65mm lift.
  • 264°/272° street/strip or track day performance cams. Ultimate throttle response with VVTi. Good increase in mid-range power. Suits single 60mm-70mm turbo. For up to 8000rpm and 30psi boost Kelford Cams recommend valve spring KVS109-1JZ

V229-D Camshaft Set:

  • 272/278 Degrees advertised duration. 9.95mm/9.95mm lift.
  • 272°/278° 1JZ-GTE racing camshaft. These are our most popular cams for a vast range of motorsport applications. Ultimate throttle response with VVT-i. More top end and maximum power than V229-C. Suits single 64mm-76mm turbo. Great with E85. Kelford Cams recommend valve spring KVS109-1JZ.

V229-F Camshaft Set:

  • 282/286 Degrees advertised duration | 11.00mm/11.00mm Valve Lift
  • 282°/286° high lift racing cams to suit 1JZ-GTE engine running alcohol based fuels and 72mm+ turbo. Improved throttle response when using VVTi.These high velocity cams require a shimless bucket or shim-under bucket conversion, such as the DLC coated cam follower KCF-229.
