Venom Automotive - Toyota 2JZ Lower Alternator Support Bracket

This Venom Automotive 2JZ Alternator Support Bracket is designed to strengthen the lower alternator tab on the 2JZ-GE & GTE blocks. These tabs are prone to breaking from fatigue or over tightening during installation of the alternator. The bracket can reinforce unbroken tabs as a preventive measure against failure, or support the alternator in cases where the original mounting point has broken off. It is compatible with Mid & Rear Sump Arrangements but not with Front Sump Engines. The bracket is made of CNC Billet 6061 Aluminium and is available in Black or Clear Anodised finish. The package includes 1x JZA80 Billet Alternator Support Mount, 1x M10 Nut, 2x M8 High Tensile Bolts, and 1x 125mm M10 Threaded Stud. For installation, the alternator needs to be removed as per the Toyota Supra Repair Manual (TSRM). The existing lower block stud should be removed if not already broken off, and 2x bolts from the sump need to be removed to enable the installation of the support bracket. Then, 2x M8 Bolts should be installed to 80% thread, followed by the replacement M10 threaded stud to the full depth of the support bracket. Finally, the M8 Bolts need to be tightened, and the alternator should be reinstalled as per TSRM.
