The term "Heavy Duty" is commonly used in the clutch world, and we offer 5 levels of Heavy Duty for certain vehicle models. Our Direct Clutch Heavy Duty kit typically provides a 15-20% increase in clamping force without resulting in a firmer pedal. This is achieved through modifications to the pressure plate and surface grinding, which improves flatness and provides a cross-hatch finish for quicker clutch run-in and increased torque capacity. This modification is referred to as "Level 2 HD." We can further enhance the Heavy Duty (level 2) spec with a diaphragm change, resulting in a 25-40% increase in clamping force, known as the Direct Clutch Hi Torque or Level 3. For even higher torque applications, we offer the High Torque (HT) Level 3 pressure plate combined with a harder compound disc, referred to as Level 4 or the Super Hi Torque. Lastly, our Organic range includes Level 5, which features a complete new flywheel for superior clutch performance, often with a larger diameter and higher clamping force.
