Radium Engineering Fuel Pulse Damper - R 8AN ORB - Swivel

This is a fuel pulse damper designed for EFI fuel systems. It can be screwed into a female 8AN ORB port, such as on a fuel rail, and the damper body swivels after installation. It is compatible with all fuels. The opening and closing of fuel injectors can create pressure pulses in the fuel rail, leading to unstable fuel pressure. To achieve a safe and consistent rail pressure, a fuel pulse damper (FPD) is often necessary. The FPD's internal diaphragm absorbs oscillating pulses and stabilizes fuel pressure, which can be measured throughout the RPM range and can help with idle surge and erratic lean air/fuel ratio spikes. Fuel pulse dampers can be mounted at any angle, including upside down. They can be necessary in various fuel system setups, and Radium FPDs are unique in that they include a vacuum/boost reference port for proper performance even at elevated fuel pressures. The package includes anodized and laser engraved aluminum top, anodized aluminum body with male threads, stainless steel hardware, rubber vacuum hose, and vacuum hose Y-fitting. The FPD-R base pressure requirement is 40 - 70psi (static). It is important to set the base static fuel pressure within this range and connect the vacuum/boost reference line according to the specific vehicle's setup.
